Congrats Ironman Wisconsin Athletes, IM 70.3 Vegas Finishers, and Sub-5 TTT Crew

Yes this is a little late, but a huge congratulations is in order for all of the Endure It athletes which had the honor of becoming an "Ironman" last Sunday.  I think it's pretty safe to say that we had an incredible time cheering you all on.  Old Sauk Pass was definitely "Endure It Hill"!!  Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on these inspiring athletes.

Everyone deserves a huge congrats for finishing a difficult course, and for smiling while you were doing it!  Well, maybe Dzuibski wasn't smiling that last mile...but I would say that was well worth it considering he's headed to Kona next year!!!  Congrats Dan, you're top secret training paid off once again.

We also want to congratulate our athletes who toughed out a brutal day on a brutal course at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas!  You are all so inspiring and have definitely earned some time off.  To the "Sub 5 Century Ride Team Time Trial" crew congrats!!  You put up an impressive time.  I do believe we had a couple of club members who were brave enough to race the half ironman in Lake Geneva last Saturday.  Since I haven't heard any news reports of "missing persons" because you were lost on the bike course that wasn't marked, I'm guessing it went well, so congrats!!

For many of us (I'll get there in three weeks) it's the start of the "off-season" so make sure you take a few weeks to look back upon this season.  List out what went well, what might not have gone so well, and feel free to talk to any of us about improving for next year.  With that in mind make sure you come to our next club meeting:

September 21st - 7:00 p.m. @ Willobrook

At the next meeting we will be discussing the following topics:
  • Taking an "off-season" break
  • Endure It at Cyclocross Races & the Chicagoland Cyclocross Series
  • Scavenger Run (September 29th, 6:30 p.m. @ Endure It Life in Naperville)
  • Up Coming Monthly Challenges & Events & Club Meetings
With the cold weather approaching Endure It was going to order some custom "winter training jackets" like ones we had a few years ago.  These jackets are great for both cycling and running (and wearing around town as well).  The jackets take about 8-10 weeks to process and we wanted to put it out there to gauge the interest.  So if you're interested please let me know ricklapinski@hotmail.com the faster we get people committed the quicker we can turn them around and get the order placed.  These jackets are great for the winter months, and aren't just your typical windbreaker type of coats.  I wear mine pretty much all winter when training!

Congratulations again to all of our athletes!!
