Ironman Club Loyalty Program

The loyalty program is a way for clubs that are limited by geography, size, experience of their athletes to achieve podium status with IRONMAN. A club that caters to newbies would have a hard time competing with a club focused on IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events but their team might give back to IRONMAN in other ways.

Similar to the accumulation of airlines miles, clubs can redeem points at any time during the year for IRONMAN goodies. Redeeming points does not impact their podium placement at the end of the year but any points they redeem are deleted from the annual Loyalty Program totals. Example you use 20,000 airline miles for a RT ticket..

Sample Prizes:

1 early entry slot to the race of your choice (these need to be redeemed before the race registration opens) = 15,000
Team picture post race with the race champions (Pro’s) = 5,000
Colored/Team Bibs for all team members racing at a club race and designated bike rack = 55,000
Club porta-john at the race of their choice (excl. some venues) = 125,000
Sneak Peek advanced viewing of the Kona Broadcast this year = 125,000
1 Bronze Level VIP passes excl. WC = 100,000 pts.
FREE 70.3 Entry = 150,000 pts. – not to exceed 2 per club
Reserved seating for the club at the Athlete Welcome Dinner = 10,000 pts.

Earning Points for the Loyalty Program:
• Race Participation – AGR - Regional Championships x1.5
• IRONMAN Foundation: 1,000 pts. per athlete who is a Foundation Athlete 15,000 pts. if the club uses the Foundation as a platform and raises $2,000
• Volunteering: 1-5 volunteers: 500 pts./ 6-15 volunteers: 1000 pts./Aid Station or +15 volunteers: 5000 pts.
• IRONKIDS: 250 pts. per kid running/500 pts. Triathlon
• Iron Girl: 750 pts. per finisher (running or triathlon)
• IRONMAN 5150 participation: 500 pts. per finisher
• Membership Validation points: 50 pts. per member
• Lottery – Kona: 250 pts. per member who enters

Division Handicap (this is cool - total points are multiplied by the handicap based on club size)
Division I (Clubs with greater 500 members and National Coaching programs): No handicap
Division II (Clubs with 251 – 499 active members): 1.50 x total points
Division III (Clubs with 126-249 active members): 1.75 x total points
Division IV (Clubs with 66-125 active members) : 2.00 x total points
Division V (Clubs under 40 active members): 2.25 x total points

An example of how quickly the points can add up:

10 Members race with an average AGR point total of 1500 pts: (10 x 1500) x 1.5 = 22,500
5 Volunteers = 500 pts.
15 kids run the IK race = 3,750

The Club (example Division V) earns = 26,750 points with the Division Handicap of 2.25 = 60, 187 pts. for ONE race – that’s 4 early entries to races that fill up in 2 minutes like IRONMAN Arizona or IRONMAN Florida!

Many of you have been participating in Run Club for years so, no need to read on....But, if you are interested in joining I coach an extensive run program over a 14 week period. Each day has it's very own focus and no two runs will ever be the same.

Monday and Tuesday are both sessions that focus on strengthening the body enabling us to stay healthy and injury free. It is a day using drill and plyometrics to become a stronger runner.

Wednesday is a track session which incorporates extensive drill work then we use intervals to develop our  speed and efficiency.  TO  BEGIN we run under a mile in interval work(TRACK LOCATION, HINSDALE SOUTH and DOWNER GROVE).

Thursday and Friday are "effort runs" I incorporate intensity, and developing our own personal gear system, this is great as it builds strength and endurance however, the work limits the wear and tear on the body but, you will feel fitness gains.(LOCATION WESTMONT AND LOCATION SUBJECT TO CHANGE WILL BE NOTIFIED)
It is a really extensive program and any level runner can use this format to build fitness and confidence in running.

I would love for you all to join us. Please reach out to me if I can answer anymore questions.

Thanks for reading and I hope to see you soon.

Ironman Club Championship

Thank you and congratulations to all the Endure It Club members who raced for us this year!  It was a fantastic year packed full of races.  Endure it had athletes racing all across the world including National and World Championship races at Ironman, Ironman 70.3, and Olympic distances.

2013 was the first year for the Ironman Club Challenge, pitting triathlon clubs across the country against one another in a friendly points competition.  Clubs are divided into one of five divisions based on the size of club.  With 100-199 members Endure It! competed in Division III in 2013.  Thanks to all of you, we finished 3rd overall in the nation.

By finishing in the top 5 triathlon clubs in the nation Endure It! club members have officially been awarded:
1- Two FREE 70.3 entries in 2014
2- Early entry for up to 50 athletes for a 2015 Ironman (guaranteed entry = no standing in line at 4am, no internet crashing!)
3- Four VIP passes to the race of your choice
4- Champions patch (above)

For your hard work and dedication you will have a chance to snag one of prizes at an up coming club meeting or win one by racing in our time TIME TRIAL SERIES.  Stay tuned for details.
